This Easy Spooky Halloween Slime Punch for Kids is pure Halloween magic in a cup. It’s got that perfect, eerie green glow, a slimy texture that kids absolutely lose their minds over, and it tastes like a party in your mouth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (3-ounce) boxes lime-flavored gelatin (Jell-O)
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 4 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 4 cups chilled lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7-Up)
  • Optional: 2-3 drops neon green food coloring
  • Gummy worms (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes (or gummy worm ice cubes)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the Gelatin (5 minutes): In a medium mixing bowl, empty both boxes of lime gelatin. Pour in 2 cups of boiling water. Whisk vigorously for about 2 minutes until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  2. Add the Cold Water (1 minute): Pour in 2 cups of cold water and stir. This cools the mixture down and starts the setting process.
  3. Mix in the Pineapple Juice (2 minutes): Add the 4 cups of pineapple juice. Whisk until everything is combined. If you want it more vibrant, add 2-3 drops of green food coloring.
  4. Chill the Base (2-3 hours): Pour this mixture into your punch bowl or a large container. Cover and refrigerate until very cold but not fully set—think the consistency of a thin syrup.
  5. Prepare the Ice (Optional, 10 minutes): If you want to make gummy worm ice cubes, place one gummy worm in each compartment of an ice cube tray. Fill with water and freeze for at least 2 hours.
  6. Add the Fizz and Ice (Just before serving): When ready to serve, take the chilled base out of the fridge. Gently pour in the 4 cups of chilled lemon-lime soda. Stir slowly to combine. Add the ice cubes and stir gently again.
  7. Garnish and Serve (2 minutes): Drop a handful of gummy worms into the punch bowl. Ladle the punch into cups, making sure each cup gets at least one gummy worm.

Notes

The gelatin base needs to be very cold—almost slushy—before adding the soda. Don’t add the soda until the very last minute to preserve carbonation. For a vegan version, use agar-agar powder instead of gelatin. For a lower-sugar option, use sugar-free gelatin and diet lemon-lime soda.
