A cozy, rustic charcuterie board featuring creamy brie, sharp cheddar, salty prosciutto, and sweet honey fig jam. Perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a comforting night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup fig jam
  • 8 oz brie cheese
  • 6 oz aged cheddar
  • 4 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz salami, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh grapes (red or green)
  • 1/2 cup dried figs
  • 1/2 cup mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans), toasted
  • 1 cup crackers or baguette slices
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. If honey has crystallized, place the jar in a bowl of warm water for 5 minutes to warm it. Do not microwave.
  2. Place a large wooden board or slate platter on a flat surface. If using parchment paper, lay it down. Place two small bowls on the board, spaced apart. Fill one with fig jam and the other with honey.
  3. Place the brie wheel on one side of the board. Slice the aged cheddar into thin triangles or cubes and arrange them in a small pile next to the brie. Ensure cheeses are not touching each other.
  4. Fold prosciutto slices into loose ribbons or small piles. Do the same with salami. Place them near the cheeses, separating the types.
  5. Scatter fresh grapes and dried figs around the board, filling in empty gaps so the fruit looks naturally nestled among meats and cheeses.
  6. Sprinkle toasted mixed nuts into any remaining empty spaces.
  7. Arrange crackers or baguette slices around the edges of the board, fanning them out slightly for easy grabbing.
  8. Drizzle a little extra honey over the brie wheel if desired. Tuck fresh rosemary sprigs around the board for color and aroma.

Notes

Bring cheese to room temperature 30 minutes before serving for best flavor. Do not overcrowd the board; leave space between items. Prep cheese and meats a few hours ahead, but add crackers and nuts just before serving. For a warm brie, bake at 350°F for 5-7 minutes before adding to board.
