These Easy Mummy Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers are a fun and flavorful Halloween snack. Creamy, spicy jalapenos are wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough and baked until golden, creating a spooky treat that’s perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12 large jalapeno peppers
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 24 small candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Cut each jalapeno in half lengthwise. Use a small spoon to scrape out the seeds and white membranes.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Spoon or pipe the cream cheese mixture into each jalapeno half, mounding it slightly.
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it along the perforations. Cut each triangle lengthwise into 3 thin strips to get 24 strips total.
  6. Take one dough strip and wrap it around a filled jalapeno half, starting at the top and working your way down, leaving a small gap near the top for the eyes. Press the ends gently to seal. Place on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.
  7. Lightly brush each wrapped jalapeno with olive oil. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes. While still warm, press two candy eyes into the exposed filling at the top of each mummy.
  9. Transfer to a platter and serve warm.

Notes

For less heat, remove all seeds and membranes from jalapenos. For a vegetarian version, skip the bacon and add smoked paprika and green onions. Keep the dough cold for easier handling. Use a piping bag or zip-top bag for easier filling. Reheat leftovers in an air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes.
