A creamy, sweet, and mildly spicy dip that combines tangy cream cheese, whole berry cranberry sauce, and fresh jalapeños. Perfect for family gatherings, it’s quick to make and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 2 medium fresh jalapeños, finely diced (seeds and membranes removed for less heat)
  • 3 to 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, if cranberry sauce is tart)

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese: Remove from fridge 30 minutes before starting, or microwave on low for 10-15 seconds until soft but not melted.
  2. Whip the cream cheese: Beat with a hand mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth and fluffy. Scrape down sides halfway through.
  3. Prep the jalapeños: Cut off stem, slice in half, remove seeds and membranes. Dice into tiny pieces (about 1/8-inch).
  4. Mix in flavorings: Add cranberry sauce, diced jalapeños, sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, lime juice, garlic powder, and salt to the whipped cream cheese. Fold with a rubber spatula until just combined.
  5. Taste and adjust: Adjust salt, lime juice, or heat as needed.
  6. Chill (optional but recommended): Transfer to serving bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to meld flavors.
  7. Garnish and serve: Top with fresh cilantro, thin jalapeño slices, or a drizzle of honey. Serve with crackers, crostini, or veggie sticks.

Notes

For best texture, ensure cream cheese is fully softened. Remove seeds and membranes from jalapeños for a milder dip. Chilling for at least 1 hour enhances flavor. Can be made a day ahead. Not recommended for freezing.
