A light and crisp fall sangria made with fresh apple cider, cinnamon whiskey, and dry white wine. It’s the perfect balance of sweet, tart, and warm spice, and comes together in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups apple cider, chilled
  • 1 cup cinnamon whiskey (e.g., Fireball or Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire)
  • 1 bottle (750ml) dry white wine, chilled (e.g., Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 2 tablespoons caramel syrup (optional, e.g., Torani or Monin)
  • 2 medium apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji), thinly sliced
  • 1 medium pear (Bosc or Bartlett), thinly sliced
  • 23 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda, chilled
  • Ice for serving

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples and pear thoroughly. Thinly slice the apples (about 1/8-inch thick) and the pear. Leave the skin on for color and texture. Place the slices in the bottom of a large pitcher.
  2. Drop 2-3 cinnamon sticks into the pitcher with the fruit.
  3. Measure 4 cups of chilled apple cider and pour it over the fruit.
  4. Measure 1 cup of cinnamon whiskey and pour it into the pitcher. Stir gently with a wooden spoon to combine.
  5. Open the bottle of dry white wine and pour it into the pitcher. Stir again gently to mix everything.
  6. If using caramel syrup, drizzle 2 tablespoons into the pitcher and stir. Taste first to see if it’s needed.
  7. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours, to allow flavors to meld.
  8. Just before serving, pour in 1 cup of chilled sparkling water or club soda. Stir gently to incorporate the bubbles.
  9. Fill glasses with ice cubes, then pour the sangria over the top. Make sure to get some fruit slices into each glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick if desired.
  10. Enjoy immediately. Leftovers keep in the fridge for 1-2 days.

Notes

For best results, chill all ingredients beforehand. Add sparkling water just before serving to keep it fizzy. Letting the sangria rest for an hour enhances the flavor. If making ahead, prepare without sparkling water up to 24 hours in advance.
