These Quick Friendsgiving Turkey Meatball Sliders are the ultimate shortcut to that cozy, holiday feeling without the fuss. They’re proof that you don’t need a perfect turkey or a fancy spread to create something memorable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean recommended)
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs (panko works great)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 12 slider buns (soft Hawaiian rolls recommended)
  • 1/2 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • 6 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese, cut in half (or 1 cup shredded mozzarella)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix with your hands until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into 12 even-sized balls, about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add meatballs in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.
  5. While meatballs are browning, split slider buns in half horizontally. Place bottom halves in a 9×13-inch baking dish, cut side up. Mix melted butter with garlic powder and brush over cut sides of all buns.
  6. Spread cranberry sauce evenly over bottom buns. Place two meatballs on each bun (or one if large). Top each with a half-slice of cheese. Place top buns on, cut side down.
  7. Cover dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly and tops are golden. Internal temperature of meatballs should reach 165°F (74°C).
  8. Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Let sliders rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Notes

Don’t skip the browning step for best flavor. Use a meat thermometer to ensure turkey reaches 165°F. Avoid overdoing cranberry sauce to prevent sogginess. Meatballs can be prepared up to 2 days in advance. For gluten-free, use gluten-free buns and breadcrumbs.
